Introducing the Homebuyer Dream Program!
The Homebuyer Dream ProgramTM (HDP) is a a new
first-time homeowner grant program coming in mid-2019.
The evolution of this more modernized first-time homebuyer set-aside program is intended to broaden its reach across the district, deepen its impact on households buying their first home and significantly improve administrative efficiencies.
FHLBNY is committed to working with our members to facilitate a smooth transition from the First Home Clubsm to the new program. The modernized program features include:
- Flexibility on the administration of your program
- Increased grant amounts
- Equity contribution without systematic savings
- Online reservation requests
Over the next few months, the FHLBNY will conduct several training seminars across our district. The training seminars will provide a review of the program criteria, an in-depth technical training on how to successfully submit household requests through the FHLBNY’s Secure File Transfer Portal, and an opportunity to provide answers to any questions you may have.
We strongly encourage you to attend one of the upcoming training seminars to learn more about the Homebuyer Dream ProgramTM.
The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY) is excited to introduce the Homebuyer Dream ProgramTM(HDP) to our members.
To familiarize yourself with this program, please review the HDP Program Guidelines. The HDP will be administered through an annual round, with funds committed to the member for approved households on a first-come, first-served basis. The 2019 round is intended to open for submission of reservation requests in July.
For those members interested in participating in the 2019 round, the following on-boarding forms must be completed and submitted to [email protected]:
1. Member Participation Agreement
2. Secure File Transfer Portal Enrollment Form
If the above mentioned member on-boarding forms are not received by March 31, 2019, the FHLBNY cannot guarantee setup of the users prior to opening of the 2019 round.
For the HDP, members will be required to submit new household requests through the FHLBNY’s Secure File Transfer Portal. Authorized member representatives, identified in the Secure File Transfer Portal Enrollment Form, will be assigned a user name and password by the FHLBNY and must complete a successful submission of a test file prior to the start of the 2019 Round.
