FHLBNY Safeguards Homes and Lives with $250,000 Contribution
The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY) made a $250,000 contribution to the Partnership to End Homelessness, supporting their “Save Homes Campaign.” This initiative combines housing
assistance with mental health and support services, providing much-needed stability for New Yorkers on the brink of eviction.
The stakes couldn’t be higher, with women and children making up more than two-thirds of those affected by homelessness. By addressing both immediate housing needs and the underlying challenges families face, the Save Homes Campaign offers long-term solutions for those most at risk. FHLBNY’s contribution is already helping households avoid homelessness and maintain secure housing, with a special focus on women-led families and single mothers struggling to keep a roof over their children’s heads.
At its core, FHLBNY’s mission is to provide access to affordable housing and build stronger communities. This donation furthers that goal by ensuring vulnerable families not only stay in their homes but also receive the mental health support they need to remain stable and secure over the long term. It’s a holistic approach designed to create real, lasting change.
Beyond the numbers, the impact of this funding is deeply personal. For many families, eviction isn’t just a loss of shelter; it’s the beginning of a downward spiral. The combination of housing and support services offered by the Save Homes Campaign provides a safety net to keep families intact and help them thrive. Thanks in part to FHLBNY’s commitment, the campaign is making a difference not just for individuals, but for entire communities.
