Dividend Announcement

FHLBNY Declares a 4.10% Dividend for the Third Quarter of 2015

I am pleased to announce that, on November 19, 2015, your Board of Directors approved a dividend for the third quarter of 2015 of 4.10% (annualized). The dollar amount of the dividend will be approximately $54.5 million. The cash dividend will be distributed on November 20, 2015.

In each of the first three quarters of the year, our dividend has been 4.10 percent; and through the first nine months of 2015, our dividend has represented a steady return on our members’ investment in our cooperative. This consistency in our dividend is reflective of the overall strength and stability of our franchise.

The dividend reflects the FHLBNY’s low-risk profile and conservative business strategy, and is also reflective of the continuation of a low interest rate environment.

We filed our Form 10-Q for the third quarter of 2015 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on November 12, 2015.

Sincerely,

José R. González
President and Chief Executive Officer
