The Disability Opportunity Fund, Inc has been provided funds

The Disability Opportunity Fund, Inc. has been provided funds by the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York Small Business Recovery Grant Program to be distributed to local small businesses and non-profit organizations. Disability Opportunity Fund, Inc. is a Rockville Center, NY based CDFI member of FHLBNY that has been approved to distribute $86,400 to small businesses and non-profit organizations who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of individual grants. The grant funds were used to assist a non-profit nursery school run by a religious organization ($10,000) and 10 small businesses (total of $76,400) including clothing and jewelry stores, restaurants/catering businesses, beauty salons, and an auto body shop. These entities were able to meet rental payments, mitigate the cost of personal protective equipment for their staff, and reduce other personnel costs.
