AHP-Funded Supportive Housing in Robbinsville, NJ

Representatives from Project Freedom Inc., a dedicated non-profit organization, showcased their efforts in Robbinsville, New Jersey. Project Freedom’s mission is to empower people with disabilities to live independently within inclusive, supportive communities. The organization has become a leading voice and developer in the field of supportive housing, creating safe, accessible homes tailored to meet the unique needs of its residents.

Three recently developed apartment buildings were toured by the FHLBNY’s Peter Grof, Community Investment Officer and Jacob Day, Senior Community Investment Business Development Officer from the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY)— Freedom Village at Historic Roebling, Freedom’s Legacy at Robbinsville and Westgate Manor. These developments were made possible through construction financing and $2,025,000 in subsidy awarded through FHLBNY’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP) via First Bank. The tour highlighted the thoughtful design and accessibility features built into each unit, reflecting Project Freedom’s commitment to creating dignified, community-integrated housing solutions. With strong support from First Bank and FHLBNY’s AHP funding, these residences now serve as safe, affordable homes where individuals with disabilities can thrive with independence and community support.

This successful collaboration between First Bank, Project Freedom, and FHLBNY reflects a shared commitment to increasing the availability of affordable, inclusive housing options across New Jersey and throughout our region.
