The NeighborWorks America Strong Leaders Program for Middle Managers builds the management and leadership skills of middle managers who supervise staff for a line of business at non-profit organizations. Over the course of nine months, a diverse cohort of 15 middle managers from non-profit organizations in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands received training, mentorship, and support to enhance their people management and leadership skills for long-term professional growth and equity. Utilizing peer learning and acclaimed training courses from NeighborWorks America, this cohort met virtually as a group and with their individual mentors each month. On December 3rd, the cohort will come together for a final time to celebrate their successes, share impressions about their experience, and receive their graduation certificates.
