1Linksm News and Updates
Last updated August 30, 2010
8/30/10: IMPORTANT REMINDER: To continue receiving your 1Link reports without interruption, please recreate your Prior Day, Payment, Customized, and Special Reports delivery in the new 1Link system prior to Thursday, September 2, 2010.
Member Products Guide Update: The newly published version reflects changes to HLB products and services. It can be found by signing on to 1Link, and clicking on ‘Tools’ and then ‘Manuals and Guides’. To read a brief description of the more substantive changes to the Guide, view Bulletin 005.
6/25/10: The HLB is pleased to announce that effective June 28, two important enhancements to our 1Link Information Reporting module will be made available for all users.
1. Automatic Delivery of Reports
Users can schedule automatic delivery of all reports to their institution via e-mail. Reports available for automatic delivery include:
- Prior Day Reports
- Payment Reports
- Customized Prior Day and Payment Reports
- Special Reports
Customers who are already receiving some reports automatically will need to recreate their current delivery preferences in our new environment prior to September 2, 2010 to receive these reports without interruption.
Contact a customer representative at (800) 546-5101 for assistance in setting up or recreating your automatic report deliveries or view the “How to Create, Edit, or Delete a Report Delivery” tutorial for instructions.
Once you have successfully set-up your reports, please contact the 1Link Helpdesk at (800) 546-5101, select Option 1 or e-mail 1linkhelpdesk@fhlbny.com to request we discontinue delivery of your existing reports so you will not receive duplicate reports.
2. Enhanced Collateral Reports
The HLB is also providing more transparent collateral reports with a new look and feel. The updated reports are easier to read and available in PDF format for your convenience. These new collateral reports replace your current reports in the Special Reports section of Information Reporting.
The enhanced collateral reports were redesigned to provide a single blended discount approach to the haircut methodology. This is in contrast to the two-tiered collateral discounting practice (CML and MVA) used in previous versions. In addition, the term "Brands" now replaces the former "Collateral Subtype" heading on the reports.
Additional changes highlighted in the reports are as follows:
The Collat Customer Summary report's collateral types are represented horizontally to provide all pertinent information at eye level.
The Collat Deposit Summary report is separated by Sub Account for clarity and ease of use.
The Collat Mortgage Summary report, like the other reports listed, displays the blended discount and uses "Brands" as a title heading.
The Collat Portfolio Report offers additional information not previously available, such as the Collateral Category and Type complete with dates, the Subsidiary Cap and Submission Frequency.
The Collat Securities Summary report provides greater detail of the blended discount components, including counts, in the report's description section. In addition, the report is separated by sub-account for clarity and ease of use.
The Collat Sub Acct Summary report replaces the abbreviated collateral types with the full collateral type name. This change will provide the user with a clearer report to reference.
Similar to the collateral reports that have been available for several years, the new collateral reports are available each business day morning and represent your collateral position at “start of day”. Prior dated versions of collateral reports will continue to be available on 1Link for a short time. If you had the old collateral reports set up for automatic delivery, you will need to recreate their current delivery preferences in 1Link to receive these reports without interruption.
Our customer representatives can also assist you with creating or recreating the automatic delivery of collateral reports. They can be contacted at (800) 546-5101.
Should you have any questions concerning the new collateral reports themselves, please contact Collateral Operations at (888) 852-8460.
