1Link Quick Tip #1

Processing advance transactions through 1Link is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Step 1: Log-on using your first Password

Step 2: Click on the "Transactions" module and enter your second Password and your SecurID Token number

Step 3: Complete the transaction by clicking the "Commit" button and enter your third Password (Signing).

1Link Quick Tip #2

Your Signing Password, also referred to as your PIN code (personal identification number used by Users with transactional permissions) expires every year and must be changed.

 

On every yearly anniversary (when you first began using 1Link for transactional purposes), an encryption key message automatically appears when you first log-on, prompting you to change your Signing Password. However, sometimes Users inadvertently bypass this message and their User status becomes inactive. If you receive an error alert noting that your status is inactive, contact the 1Link Help Desk at (800) 546-5101 or e-mail 1linkhelpdesk@fhlbny.com to reactivate your User status.

1Link Users have the ability to process their transactions from home or any computer with internet access. This feature could be especially important in the unfortunate event your office should have to close due to unexpected circumstances.

1Link Quick Tip #4

1Link offers over 30 short-term advances, including Repo Advances under 1 year! And, you only need 1 User to process these advances online.

1Link Quick Tip #5

You can have your most commonly-used Module/Function screen appear from the onset once you logon to 1Link. Click the "Administration" button, choose "Options," and under the Module/Function field, choose your "Favorites" (e.g., Special Reports).

1Link Quick Tip #6

There is a download feature under the File Services tab that has Safekeeping Reports available to download into Excel.

1Link Quick Tip #7

You can quickly reach a specific business area for support by calling the 1Link Help Desk toll-free at (800) 546-5101. Press 1 for logon assistance; press 2 for assistance with 1Link Forms and Agreements; press 3 for assistance processing an Advance; press 4 for assistance processing Wires and Book Transfers; and press 5 for assistance with Processing Safekeeping transactions.

1Link Quick Tip #8

If you experience connection issues, we encourage you to perform a 1Link Port Test to ensure that the three required ports to run 1Link are functioning (443/TCP, 683/TCP, and 8088/TCP). To perform the test, visit 'http://www.fhlbny.com/connectiontest. You should receive a "Success!" message for all three Port Numbers. If you do not receive this message, please contact someone from your IT area.

 

Updated 1Link User Manual Available

The current 1Link User Manual has been shortened and is now available in the "Manuals & Guides" section of the 1Link secure site.

 

Repos on 1Link, Only ONE Driver Needed:

Repo Advances from one week to 11 months can be processed through 1Link. No additional paperwork is needed. If you are signed up for Short-Term Advances on 1Link, you will be able to create Repo Advances on 1Link.

 

OLOCs are on sale through 1Link!

Members can still take advantage of the special 2-basis-point discount* on the OLOC (Overnight Line of Credit) advance rate by processing their OLOC transactions through 1Link.

 

*2-basis-point discount will be taken off OLOC rate posted on our public website.
