GNU Bash Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York is aware of the Bourne Again Shell script vulnerability known as the “Bash Bug”, “Shellshock”, or the GNU Bash Remote Code Execution Vulnerability.

  • The following steps are being taken:
  • Identification of vulnerable systems and services, internal and external.
  • Will follow a formal patch management process to safely address any identified vulnerability.
  • Ensuring that third-party vendors take appropriate steps and are monitoring the status of their efforts.

The situation will be monitored for any new developments and we will react accordingly.
