Additional Information

Today the HLB has gained greater acceptance of the L/C program by working with municipal trade organizations to increase municipal awareness and acceptance of the L/C, such as:  the Government Finance Officers Association of New York State, the New York State Association of Counties, the New York State Conference of Mayors and Municipal Officials, the Association of Towns of the State of New York, the New Jersey League of Municipalities, and the New Jersey Conference of Mayors.

HLB representatives have attended and spoken at events hosted by many of these organizations and continues to place advertisements and articles in their publications.  Click here to check out published HLB articles about the L/C program.

The HLB would also be happy to schedule a workshop for member institutions and their municipal customers to discuss the history of the Federal Home Loan Bank System, the uses of an L/C, and the issuance process. Contact your Calling Officer at (212) 441-6700 to arrange a meeting.
