Collateral Valuations Analyst I

Function:
- Provide guidance and assistance in the implementation of the new pricing & lending value methodologies for income producing loans
- Prepare detailed analytical whole loan portfolio valuation reports to be presented to the Credit Risk Committee on a quarterly or as needed basis
- Monitor industry standard data formats for inclusion of new or amended industry standard fields. Recommend changes to management and communicate changes to pricing vendors, Media Processing and member institutions
- Review, definition and negotiation of valuation vendor contracts
- Monitor industry standard data formats for inclusion of new or amended industry standard fields
- Research and analyze data regarding collateral concentrations, market changes, new products and impacts to current collateral portfolio per secondary market guidelines
- Analyze collateral concentration reports for developing trends and risk points, and recommend steps for management monitoring and/or action
- Provide guidance and assistance to the Media Processing in their outreach to members to improve data quality
- Provide guidance and assistance to the CRE Loan Review staff to ensure quality of data necessary to analyze the outsourced DebtX income producing mortgage collateral valuation process
- Prepare detailed analysis for the Collateral Valuation Officer detailing the ability of the residential pricing model’s ability to price and value multifamily mortgage collateral
Requirements:
- Excellent analytical, research, written and oral communication skills
- Database management skills with Excel and Access required
- Confident decision making aptitude
- Knowledge of Excel
- Must be a team player
- Bachelors degree in economics or finance preferred
- 6 – 8 years experience in the financial markets with a focus on:
* Commercial and multi-family whole loan valuation
* Fixed income pricing concepts
* Cash flow valuation methodologies
* Loan level data management and formatting standards and editing practices
* Commercial and multi-family loan underwriting best 7 practices - Knowledge of mortgage data concepts, credit and interest rate risk attributes assumptions and processes
- In-depth knowledge of all commercial mortgage loan level credit and risk components including Cap Rates, NOI, DSCR, etc.
