1Linksm News and Updates

As announced on October 24th, we are ready to begin the process of updating your 1Link security device certificates. Over the next few weeks we will be sending an e-mail with information on the process to all impacted 1Link users. Please follow the instructions in the email. All certificates must be upgraded by 12/31/2014. We appreciate your assistance in completing this last step of our upgrade process. Should you encounter any issues when attempting to upgrade, contact the 1link Helpdesk at (800) 546-5101 and after the prompt, press 2 - 3 - 3 to speak to a 1Link Security Representative.

Some of our members have encountered problems signing transactions with our recent configuration upgrade. If you are encountering problems, please double check the following items:

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please contact the 1Link Helpdesk at (800) 546-5101. We will have one of our technicians work with you to troubleshoot the problem.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

System Configurations Upgrade
The minimum configuration for 1Link usage will change. As a result, the Java Runtime Environment and Microsoft Internet Explorer versions required for 1Link will be updated to more current releases. The updated requirements document can be found here.

This may impact some members. Multiple configurations have been tested and as many as possible have been certified to allow for the most flexibility for our members. As always, if your configuration is different, we will work with you to troubleshoot any issues and find the right option for your 1Link transactions.

The supported configuration change will become effective during the week of October 27, 2014.

Security Device Changes
Starting in early November, we will make changes to your security device. The security device is used only by 1Link users who are authorized to sign a transaction.

Please refer to the Security Device Setup Guide for more on these changes.

Did you know you can transact with the FHLBNY remotely via 1Link?

Remote access can come in handy during the winter season. Through 1Link, your institution’s authorized users have the ability to obtain account balances and perform business transactions (Advances, Wire Transfers, Book Wires, and Safekeeping transactions) from alternate worksites.

Please note: For business transactions, the user will need their Security Device in their possession. The alternate worksite computer must meet the minimum system requirements to access 1Link. Should you encounter any issues when attempting to access 1Link, contact the 1Link Helpdesk at (800) 546-5101.
